Serial Reporter

A thoughtful use of our reporting tools helps us maintain a safe and welcoming environment in Cantina. The report feature was designed to allow users to flag content, accounts, rooms, bots, or interactions that may violate Cantina’s Community Guidelines and it is therefore a critical part of our moderation process. It helps us identify harmful content, investigate potential violations, and take appropriate enforcement action. Reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team, who aim for timely and consistent enforcement.

To protect the effectiveness of this system, misuse of the reporting feature is not permitted.

What violates this policy? 

We do not allow the intentional misuse of reporting tools.

Examples of prohibited behavior include:

• Submitting reports with the intent to harass, intimidate, or silence other users
• Coordinating reporting campaigns to target an individual or group
• Repeatedly filing reports about the same content after a determination has been made
• Submitting knowingly false or fabricated reports
• Using the report system to retaliate in personal disputes

We evaluate potential abuse of the reporting feature based on patterns of behavior, context, and intent.

Guidelines for responsible reporting

To help ensure reports are reviewed efficiently:

• Report content you believe violates the Community Guidelines
• Provide clear and relevant details to support your report
• Avoid submitting duplicate reports for the same issue
• Do not use the reporting system to resolve personal disagreements

If you are unsure whether something violates our policies, you may still submit a report in good faith as we encourage users to report genuine concerns..

Enforcement

Users who intentionally abuse the reporting system may face restrictions, including temporary suspension of reporting privileges or broader account enforcement where appropriate.

We take care to distinguish between good-faith reporting and deliberate misuse. Good-faith reporting will never result in penalties simply because a report does not lead to enforcement

How can I report violations of this policy? 

If you believe someone is intentionally misusing the reporting system to target others, please report the account and provide relevant context. Our Trust & Safety team will review the situation and take appropriate action.
