What you can edit
In the editor's Story tab, there's a button for each part of your scene:
- Script — the action, dialogue, and sound effects in each scene.
- Cast — add a character, or add an extra: extra people who help complete a scene, like a waitress who brings a slice of pie.
- Locations — the settings your scenes take place in.
- Wardrobe — what each character wears, for the whole video or for one scene.
- Props — the objects in your scenes.
- Prompt — your story prompt. Edit it, then tap Rewrite Script.
- Settings — the template, image style, and pacing (Quick, Standard, or Slow).
Tap a clip on the timeline to see the details for that scene.
Change a location
- Tap Locations, then New.
- Tap Describe Scene and describe the setting, or upload an image. Example: "Fancy podcast studio with neon lights."
- Name your location and tap the checkmark.
- Open the clip you want to change, tap Location, and pick your new setting.
Change what someone wears
- Tap Wardrobe and choose the outfit you want to change.
- Describe the new look. Example: "punk rock jean jacket."
Update a clip's starting image
When you change a clip's location or a character's outfit, tap Regenerate Starting Frame to update that clip's starting image to match. Check the new image on the timeline, then repeat for any other clips you changed.
Edit dialogue and sound effects
- Tap Script and find the scene.
- Edit a character's Dialogue, or the SFX description for what you want to hear and when.
- Tap the checkmark to save. You can play the new line right away. New sound effects play once your video is generated.
Add a scene
- Tap + at the end of the timeline, then Add Clip.
- Under What happens next?, describe the scene. Type @ to add characters, or tap one under Suggested characters.
- Pick a location under Suggested locations, or add one.
- Tap Add Clip.
To add your own media instead, tap +, then Upload Media.
If your video is already generated, a new scene means generating again, which counts toward your daily HQ videos.
Generate your new video
When you're ready, tap the arrow at the bottom right to generate a new video with your changes.
Tips
- Review before you generate. Check every clip you changed, then generate once. Each time you generate, or regenerate a changed scene, it counts toward your daily HQ videos.
- Be specific. A clear description of a location or outfit gets you closer to the look you want.
- Tell a longer story as a Show. Make each HQ video an episode. See What are Shows?
