A quick video is a short clip of your character, made from the base videos your character got when you created it. You choose what your character says, and the video is ready in seconds. Your character usually stays in one location, and captions are added automatically. For example, when a character gives a room summary, that's a quick video.
Want a full scene with actions, camera moves, or a new setting? That's an HQ video. See Quick Videos vs HQ Videos to compare.
Where to make a quick video
There are four ways to make one.
From a chat with your character
- Chat with your character and let it reply.
- Tap Create Video.
- Select the lines from the chat you want in your video.
- Tap Generate.
From your character's profile
- Open your character's profile.
- Tap Create.
- Tap Quick at the top.
- Type your prompt, or tap a suggested topic.
- Tap the send button.
From the Imagine tab
- Open the Imagine tab.
- Tap Quick at the top.
- Pick the character you want. The featured character appears at the top.
- Type your prompt, tap a suggested topic under the character, or tap # to pick a video type (React, Roast, Relationship, Advice, Compliment, Prediction).
- Tap the send button.
From an image
- Open your character's profile and tap Media.
- Pick the image you want to bring to life.
- Type what your character should say in the field at the bottom.
- Tap Create.

What you can direct in a quick video
In a quick video, you can tell your character what to say or what topic to talk about. Actions, camera moves, settings, and wardrobe are for HQ videos.
Works well in a quick video:
- Direct dialogue: "Say hi to Marcus for me."
- A quick line in character: "Tell me a bedtime story in three sentences."
Better as an HQ video:
- Actions: "Walks across the room, opens the door."
- Camera direction: "Slow push-in on her face."
- Setting changes: "Beach at sunset, waves crashing."
- Wardrobe changes: "Wearing a blue coat."
- Videos with more than one character
Not sure which to pick? Quick Videos vs HQ Videos walks through it.
Tips for a good quick video
- Refresh your base videos if your quick videos start to look the same. The variety comes from your character's base videos, not the prompt.
- Try a suggested topic. The topic chips change often, so tapping one gives you something current to talk about.
- Pick a video type from the # menu for a specific angle, like Roast, Advice, Compliment, or Prediction.
- Try an HQ video when you want more. For actions, camera moves, or a new setting, make an HQ video in Imagine.
