Prompting for Videos in Cantina

Cantina's video feature lets you use any bot (with the voice feature enabled) to create shareable videos with a simple prompt. The key to a great video is building a strong prompt when describing the scene and script.

Prompting from Video Section

1. Start from the Video Editor.
2. Tap Change Video.
3. Type a description of what you would like the new animated image to look like.

Start with a subject and describe the action the bot is doing. Then describe the setting, and the visual style of the scene.

Below are some examples:

1. A shark sitting in a boat as it slowly drifts down a river while butterflies fly around and the green grass sways in the wind.

2. A cow lounging on a giant green lily pad drifting across a pond at sunset with fireflies dancing around and willow tree branches brushing the surface of the water.

3. A woman peering over the edge of a wicker hot air balloon basket floating over rolling hills while dandelion seeds float past in the wind, and the landscape below is lush and green.

4. Wearing a full tuxedo sitting in a private jet, sipping a neon green drink, and outside the window is a flying monkey sitting on a cloud.

To create more of these on your own, use this formula:

1. Subject: Describe what your bot looks like (A woman, a humanoid bear man, etc.)
2. Setting: The background or backdrop of the video
3. Action: What you want the bot to do in the video

4. Atmosphere: Add "micro-movements" or details in the setting to make the video look high quality

    

Don’t forget to share your generated video on social media, Cantina, or with friends.

Prompting From Media

Great videos start with great selfies. You can either prompt a selfie yourself or use one of our themes, such as #lofiriver. Themes are preset prompts that make it easy to generate selfies. Check out our Bot Selfies and Themes article for more information!

1. From the video editor, create a new animated image. You can enter a selfie prompt and generate the image.

2. You can also generate an animated image using a theme. From the Selfie Booth, tap the paint tool in the bottom left corner to make a list of themes appear.

   

    

   • Select from Featured, Modern, Moody, Cursed, Fantasy, Retro, Whimsy, Action, Travel, or Zodiac theme categories.

      

3. To turn the image you generated into a video, tap Pick in the top right corner to select an image. You will then be prompted to describe how you would like to animate the image. Tap the blue arrow in the corner when done

   

    

   • Start with a subject (your bot) and describe the action the bot is doing. Then describe the setting, and the visual style of the scene.

Refining your Video in the Editor

Once you have generated a video you’ll be prompted to the editor, you can tap into each element to:

• Change the video animated image ("select change video")
• Edit the script
  • Change the font, text size, and text color
• Turn captions on or off
• Switch video mode to HQ or Fast
